CRIB PROJECT BENEFITS LOCAL MOTHERS (October 2009, 2010, 2011)
|
The month of October is Respect Life Month and our St. Luke Parish Community
is once again participating in the Respect Life Crib Project. The project runs only during the month of October and it is
a wonderful way for parishioners to help local mothers in need.
The project's
crib will sit on the north side of the altar all during the month of October. It is adorned with tags that each
list an item, either for a baby or for a mother. Everyone is invited to please take a gift tag from the crib which lists
an item that they are able to donate The item listed on the tag can be brought back and placed in the crib the
following weekend at one of the Masses. Collection of items will only be taken after the weekend Masses, but donations may
also be left in the Parish Office on the weekdays.
In order for this
project to be a success, we need as much support as possible. There are many needy mothers who may be facing a crisis
pregnancy or simply do not have enough funds. Each tag is different and any donation that you can make is appreciated.
Thanks for your continued support of this yearly project and many thanks to the Knights of Columbus for donating the crib
for this project.
