Archbishop Jose Gomez, the new Archbishop of Los Angeles,
paid a visit to St. Luke last week when he gave a financial presentation to all the finance council members of the San Gabriel
Pastoral Region in St. Luke Parish Hall. Archbishop Gomez, Bishop Zavala and other Archdiocesan Officials enjoyed a private
dinner with Fr. Mark doing the cooking in the rectory prior to the meeting. Fr. Mark asked the members of his Finance
Council, Pastoral Council and some members of the Knights of Columbus to act as ministers of hospitality for the event as
we welcomed clergy and laity from other
parishes in the region. Archbishop Gomez was very impressed. The
