Food Pantry and Donation Baskets
(January 2007, April 2010)- St. Luke Parish provides nonperishable food assistance to those in the community who are in need.  In January 2007, all  parishioners were asked to bring food collections (canned goods, dry food items, etc.) to church on the last Sunday of the month. Although donations have dwindled, parishioners are still encouraged to help in whatever way they can.

Items can be brought to church and placed in the baskets at the Altar steps or they can be taken to the Parish Office.

The process of bringing the items once a month is intended

to aid parishioners in remembering to bring their items monthly rather than every week.

The food items are stored in a pantry and available to those in need who visit the Parish Office and request a food basket.

Girl Scout Troop 351 assists the parish by periodically sorting the pantry and arranging donations by type of food. The Girl Scouts donate their time to this project as part of their commitment to community service.

Parishioners have always generously offered donations in the past and it is the parish's hope that this kind service will continue to be available to those less fortunate.
