In parish schools the specific method of selecting pupils is
determined by the pastor and the principal (A.A.H.).

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
All students who apply for St. Luke School are given consideration.

1. Age requirements:
Kindergarten children should be 5 by September 1.
Entering first grade children should be 6 by September 1.

2. Children will be tested before being accepted as students.

3. All required papers and documents must be presented before applications will be considered.

Preference is given to siblings of currently enrolled students and to Catholic children from St. Luke Parish families who actively participate in the life of the parish and contribute at least $350 per year through the use of Sunday envelopes. Test score evaluation, class size, curriculum provisions, and assurance of parental cooperation are also considered in the acceptance of new students. Average class size is 25 students.

Second preference is given to Catholic children from families active in other parishes. Non practicing or non Catholic children are accepted as students when classroom space is available.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

The school, mindful of its mission to be a witness to the love of Christ for all, admits students regardless of race, color, or national and/or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, disability, sex, or national and/or ethnic origin in the administration of educational policies and practices, scholarship programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

While the school does not discriminate against students with special needs, a full range of services may not always be available to them. Decisions concerning the admission and continued enrollment of a student in the school are based upon the student's emotional, academic and physical abilities and the resources available to the school in meeting the student's needs.
