About Us The St. Luke Church
Music Ministry has several long-time music groups that play at various Sunday Masses, including The St. Luke Singers.
The St. Luke Singers group has been a part of the parish's Music Ministry for some 25 years. The group began with
22 members at the time. Membership has varied throughout the years, as people were able to give of their talents.

Today, the group continues to be a part of the church's music ministry,
with seven members playing faithfully at the Sunday noon Mass each week.
The
group leads the congregation each week during the Mass with a combination of traditional and contemporary spiritual
music. The St. Luke Singers is a combination of vocal and guitar talent. And, once a month, a member plays the
piano. Several of the group members are self-taught musicians. They each play as a part of the group from their
heart, to share the gift that God has given them. The current seven members have
been playing together for some 10 years now. They practice every Tuesday night to prepare the coming Sunday's music.
The diverse talent of the group members enables them to lead the congregation in a unique way. The comradeship and dedication of the group is strong, a member said. She also said that the support
of the parish community gives them strength to sing words of praise each week at Mass and live out the mission of the parish. The group is also available to perform at weddings and funerals at St. Luke Church and other
parishes.
