Year in Faith:

Mary Magdalene’s name is mentioned at the end of the
Gospel. She is incorrectly thought to have been a prostitute.
Mary is often referred to as a disciple and has a significant
role in the Gospel according to John as a witness to the Risen
Christ.
(Sourcebook 2013)
Reflection: Would you consider yourself a disciple of Christ?

Liturgy Notes

A penitent woman is washing Jesus’ feet at the house of the Pharisee. Jesus relates a parable to explain that she is showing and experiencing deep gratitude for her reconciliation with the Lord. (Sourcebook 2013) Reflection: How do you express your gratitude?
