& White Ball (St.Luke style without the Ball
Gown or Tuxedo) to thank all our Volunteers who work throughout the year to support our parish. St. Luke Parish will hold its annual appreciation dinner on Saturday, June 22,
at 6:30 P.M. in the Parish all. Volunteers can pick up their free entry tickets from the Parish Office before June 18. Black and white attire suggested, but not required.

FATHER’S DAY CARDS AVAILABLE Father’s Day is next Sunday, June 16th. Father’s Day Spiritual Bouquet Cards are available at the church
exits, as well as offering envelopes for the names of fathers who are living or
deceased. Names of fathers that are received by the Parish Office will be part
of the nine day Father’s Day Novena, which begins on June
15th. The St. Luke Catholic Church has done much for the families of the parish. Labors of Love for St. Luke is an opportunity to give
back to the Church. Please join us June 15th from 9am to Noon.We have a lot of tasks to complete from light polishing, cleaning to gardening. Whatever your energy level, we have
a task for you. This is a great activity to give back to the Church and meet other

POTLUCK LUNCHEON & BINGO The next Sr. Citizens Potluck Luncheon & Bingo will be
held on Monday, June 17, from 12 Noon-3:00 P.M., inthe Parish Hall. The afternoon
begins with lunch at 12 Noon, followed by Bingo. Bingo cards are $3 each or two
for $5. Please RSVP to Joan S. Robledo @ 824-2105. A YOUTH MINISTRY APPRECIATION!Special Thanks to our Parishioners for coming out and leaving
the BBQ to us. We did very well on our taco sale, and we have been asked to do
it again. Keep an eye out for our upcoming fundraisers. We want to specially thank
Fr Mark A. Strader for his wonderful support, and all our Parent support for their donations to put together this fundraiser and for all the cooking: Thao & Loan Nguyen and Family for their donations.
You are all amazing and a wonderful blessing to our ministry and our

again. Youth ministry is going to be sending teens to 2 Conferences and 1 Summer camp.
You will find them fundraising in the coming weeks. In advance, and whole heartedly, I want to “thank you” for all your support as we continue to
strive in our Journey as good stewards in the vineyard of our

the Youth Ministry box for more info.Prayer Hands will be available after every Mass on June
23 and June 30. They will be placed on a Banner and prayed over at the Steubenville Conference (July 12-14). There will be Prayer Hands
for $1 & Prayer Hands for $5. There
will be a Fiesta Captain’s Meeting On Tuesday, June 18, at 7:00 P.M., in Room 404 of the Parish
Hall. We will
recap the results of the Fiesta and address any questions, comments and ideas for next year.
Are You Being Called To Become A Deacon? Diaconate Formation Office: Information Meeting for Men Interested in the Permanent
Diaconate Sunday The Diaconate Formation Office will be hosting an information meeting for all men who are interested in finding out
more about becoming a permanent deacon in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Members
of the Archdiocesan Diaconate Formation Office will be present to explain the role of the deacon in the Church, to explain the Diaconate Formation Program, and to answer any questions that participants might have. Men must be between the ages of 30 and 60
years to enter the formation program.
It is important for men who are married to attend with their wives. The next information meeting
will be held on Sunday July 21, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at St. Jerome’s, located at 5550 Thornburn St. Los Angeles, CA 90045.

New Caregiver’s Ministry Sessions Beginning in June The St.
Luke Caregiver’s Ministry will be offering support group sessions for those who are in a
Caregiving role. This program is offered to create a sharing and supportive environment for Caregivers of loved ones with Dementia or Alzheimers. The one-hour sessions
will begin on Wednesday, June 5 between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm and repeat every other Wednesday. For more information, please contact Margarita at (626) 575-1418 or
