Annual Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Dinner
(November 2011)- Preparation is underway for the annual Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Dinner set for Sunday, November 20, 2011 in the Parish Hall. Senior citizens (for all seniors age 60 & older, if single-may bring one guest) are invited to this no-charge event.

The dinner includes turkey and all the trimmings, dessert and entertainment. Social Hour: 2 p.m. Dinner: 3 p.m. Reservations are now being taken. Please call the Parish Office at (626) 291-5900. Donations of pumpkin pies and door prizes are greatly appreciated.

The dinner is an opportunity to give thanks, mingle with friends, and enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner prepared by the Knights of Columbus, their wives and dozens of volunteers.  Many young people of the Parish assist as well.  Many parishioners also donate the dozens of pumpkin pies served to those who attend. Traditionally, over one dozen 16-pound turkeys are served!

This event has become a highly anticipated tradition for our parish and has been in existence for almost 20 years. Senior citizens and their guests are able to feast on a delicious meal prepared lovingly by the members of various volunteer organizations of the parish. This dinner enables all elderly people of the Parish to enjoy a warm, delicious meal to begin the Holiday season.

Servers are needed to help for the dinner. Anyone in 8th grade and above may help serve. Service hours can be earned. Dress code: black pants/white shirt. To volunteer, Call the Parish Office.
