SENIOR POTLUCK AND BINGO SOCIALS (February 2011)
|

The Senior Citizens Club is a vital part of the St. Luke Catholic Community. The
older members of this Catholic Community continue to inspire and "live out loud" which can be seen through the effects
of this group. The group was formed to serve the changing needs of the aging parishioners in the community. They
meet once a month at the parish to build community and socialize. The socials consist of a potluck lunch and
bingo. Attempts were previously made to have gatherings off of the parish grounds, but the
socials can run more smoothly and serve more people when they are held at the parish.
The club has become the major source of socialization for many of its members. For this alone, the
club is very successful. Attendance at the socials has continuously grown and serves more than just parishioners
and Senior Citizens. All ages are welcome and all members of the community are welcome- Catholic or non-Catholic.
The date for socials is set based on the availability of the parish hall.
Therefore, it is important for interested parties to call the Parish Office, check the weekly bulletin, or the web site
for updates regarding future events.
The next social will take place on
Wednesday, Monday, February 28, from 12 Noon-3:00 P.M., in Room 404 of the Parish Hall. The afternoon begins with lunch at
12 Noon, followed by Bingo. Bingo cards are $3 each or two for $5. Please call the Parish Office at 626-291-5900 for more
information and to RSVP.
Visit the Senior Citizens Club Page for more group information.
