VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL IS COMING!
(July 2009)
St. Luke the Evangelist will be hosting "SonRock Kids Camp" Vacation Bible School this year from August 3-7, 2009. All children from Kindergarten to 6th grade are invited to attend and the cost is still $25 per child. VBS festivities are from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM each day in the Parish Hall and surrounding "camp" rooms. Camp activities include crafts, scripture learning, singing, outside games, and recess and snack time.

The focus surrounds the daily themes below and their corresponding scriptures. There is more classroom time than in previous years, which equates to more learning time and craft time to help solidify the key concepts of each day. VBS is a wonderful way for children to learn and enjoy the activities of their church. After camp on Friday, campers and their families are invited to a BBQ and short liturgy service to conclude the weeks activities. Registration forms may be picked up in the Parish Office or SRE Office Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. "SonRock Kids Camp" 2009 is supported by the Knights of Columbus, Ralphs Grocery Store and Driftwood Dairy.
