WELCOME FR. RICHARD KAYIZZI (September
2010)
|

St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Community welcomes Fr. Richard Kayizzi! Fr. Richard
arrived this past week and will be staying with us throughout October. He comes to us from the Archdiocese of Kampala
in Uganda. He says, "It is a wonderful thing to celebrate the sacraments with God’s people all the time.
Such gives me joy and happiness to see that the people are actively involved."
-
Fr. Richard was born on July 8, 1975 in Uganda
to Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel Bisimbeko. He is one of eleven children; five boys and six girls.
-
He was ordained a priest on August 12, 2006.
He has since served as chaplain at St. Savio Junior School, chaplain for Brothers of Christian Instruction, a religious congregation,
and he is currently a part of the vocation animation team for the Archdiocese of Kampala.
-
Fr. Richard looks forward to meeting
the parishioners of St. Luke the Evangelist and sharing his experiences as a priest from Uganda.
-
Please take the
time to meet and get to know our visiting priest! It is a blessing to have him with us and to celebrate our faith with
him.
